We visited Yosemite. It was a day trip from The Family's house in the western California mountains. The grove of giant Sequoia we visited was the Tuolumne Grove. It was quite a hike down the trail to see the trees, but WOW!
The kids enjoyed the hike going down. Not quite as much coming back up! We took plenty of water, and some mandarin oranges.
The park really needs more than the half a day we gave it. Thankfully, we had a wonderful place to return to sleep. Everyone pretty much collapsed onto their cots. Another night under the stars for those who chose to sleep underneath the stars.
